Transferring funds via card number


Can I send funds by card number transfer? Which cards can be used for card-to-card transfers? What payment systems are supported?


Transfer to card is a type of transfer that allows you to send money from your ZEN account to the recipient's Mastercard or Visa card. This feature works for both individual and business ZEN accounts.

To send a transfer to card:

  1. Log in to the ZEN app.
  2. Go to the Home page (leftmost screen), and tap on the bubble of the account from which you want to send money. Card-to-card transfers are available from accounts in one of the following currencies: AUD, CAD, CZK, EUR, GBP, HUF, PLN, RON, SEK, USD. The currency of the transfer is the currency of your account from which it is sent (i.e. if you need to transfer EUR from your account in EUR, the funds will be sent without conversion). 
  3. Tap on "Transfers" > "Transfer to card" and then select "Add recipient" or a previously created recipient.
  4. If you have selected "Add recipient", enter the required data (card number and full name of the recipient who is the cardholder, you can also optionally specify an alias for your future transfers to this recipient). Then choose "Continue".
    You can send money to Mastercard cards (via MoneySend service) and to Visa cards (via Visa Direct service). Also see: Which countries are available for Transfer to card?
  5. Enter the amount of your transfer and check the fee (also see: What are the limits for card transfers?, What are the fees for card-to-card transfers?). Tap on the 'Send' button.
  6. If the transfer is successfully sent, you will see a screen with "Transfer processing". If, however, you see the screen "Transaction failed", please check out this article: Can't send transfer to card.
  7. Usually, card-to-card transfers are instant. If your transfer status in ZEN app is showing as "Completed", the transfer may still be processed by the recipient's bank.
