If you see two or more payments for a single ZEN card purchase, or multiple identical pending card payments in the ZEN.COM app, this is usually caused by a temporary issue during card authorisation. In most cases, the duplicate transactions resolve automatically, and you shouldn’t be charged more than once.
What happens to duplicate pending payments
A pending card payment hasn’t been fully processed yet. Merchants usually complete the settlement within 10 days.
Once the payment is settled:
- one of the duplicate transactions should be completed
- the other transactions should be rejected automatically, and the held funds should return to your available balance
If the merchant doesn’t send a settlement request within 10 days, the temporary hold is removed automatically, and the funds return to your available balance.
