How to use ZEN PRO Card for subscription payments

If you see an error when adding your ZEN PRO Card to a subscription service, you’re not doing anything wrong. Some platforms apply regional rules that affect which cards they accept for recurring payments.

Why this happens

Some subscription services, such as video streaming platforms, music platforms, Google Play, or Apple App Store subscriptions, require the payment card to be issued in the same country as the subscription region.

For example, to buy a Polish Spotify subscription, the service may require a card issued in Poland.

The main ZEN PRO Card is identified by these services as an international card. Because of this, it may be rejected when you try to add it to certain local subscription services.

What you can do instead

To keep your subscriptions running smoothly, you have two practical options:

  • Use a ZEN Travel Card for local subscriptions
Travel Cards can be set up for specific countries. This makes them suitable for subscription payments tied to a local market.
  • Contact the subscription service’s support team
Some platforms can manually allow international cards if you ask them to add it to your billing details.

Using Travel Cards with your Pro Plan

If you use a Pro Plan, you can order a new physical ZEN PRO Card that contains one ZEN PRO Card and three Travel Cards on a single physical card.

  • These Travel Cards can be used for local subscriptions and ATM withdrawals.
  • You select the country of each Travel Card.

This setup gives you more flexibility and helps avoid subscription errors caused by regional restrictions.
