ZEN Buddies lets you send money to another ZEN user using their phone number or a QR code, with no bank details needed. It’s fast, free, and available for ZEN Personal accounts registered with the same ZEN.COM entity, for example UAB ZEN.COM in Lithuania or ZEN-UK Limited in the United Kingdom.
You currently can’t send a ZEN Buddies transfer between accounts registered with different ZEN.COM entities, for example from UAB ZEN.COM in Lithuania to ZEN-UK Limited in the United Kingdom.
ZEN Buddies transfers are not available to business clients at the moment.
Send ZEN Buddies transfer by phone number
- Log in to your ZEN.COM app and select “Wallet” from the bottom menu.
- Tap the currency you want to send, then tap “Transfer”.
- Choose “Phone number” from the transfer options, then add the new recipient to send a transfer to someone not in your contacts, or select one of your contacts.
- Enter the amount and your transfer’s reference. Your ZEN Buddy will see this reference in their app too.
- Confirm the details and send the transfer. You can then see it in your ZEN.COM app’s transaction history.
You can also send a ZEN Buddies transfer to someone who doesn’t use ZEN.COM yet.
How it works
- After you send the transfer, the recipient receives a text message with instructions on how to claim the funds.
- To receive the transfer, they must open a ZEN account using the same phone number you sent the money to.
- If they don’t open the account within 3 days, the funds automatically return to your ZEN account.
Send ZEN Buddies transfer by QR code
- Log in to your ZEN.COM app and select “Wallet” from the bottom menu.
- Tap the currency you want to send, then tap “Transfer”.
- Choose “QR code” from the transfer options.
- At the bottom of the screen, tap “Scan” to scan your friend’s code, or “My code” to show your own. You can also set your code to automatically fill in the transfer amount and reference by tapping “Enter amount”.
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete the transfer.
