To follow international regulations that make crypto transfers safer, you’ll need to provide recipient information when sending cryptocurrency transfers via payment providers who partner with ZEN.COM. This is required by the FATF Travel Rule, which applies to all Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), such as exchanges and digital wallet services, to keep virtual asset transfers transparent and secure.
If you added crypto transfer recipients in your ZEN.COM app before April 2025, you can update their missing details directly in the app.
What information do I need to provide?
You’ll need to share a few basic details about the recipient and their wallet provider:
- Name of the recipient’s VASP – the company or exchange that supports their wallet (for example, Binance, Bybit, Ledger, Phantom, Trust Wallet, etc.).
- Recipient’s personal details – first name, last name, and date of birth (for transfers to individuals).
- Business recipient details – legal entity name, Tax ID, and registration country (for transfers to companies).
- Recipient’s address.
You can provide this information while making a crypto transfer from your ZEN account to an external wallet.
What if I don’t share the recipient’s information?
Without this information, your transfer can’t be processed due to compliance rules. If the ZEN.COM app asks you to add missing data for crypto transfer:
- Update your ZEN.COM app to the latest version.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add or edit the recipient’s details.
- Submit the transfer again once the information is complete.
This ensures your transfer meets the FATF Travel Rule requirements and is delivered without delay.
