If you see the “Something went wrong” error while sending a ZEN Buddies transfer, it can feel unclear what caused it. In most cases, the issue is linked to how the recipient’s name is saved in your phone.
Why this happens
ZEN Buddies transfers support contact names written only in the Latin alphabet.
If the recipient’s name in your device contact list includes:
- emojis
- Cyrillic characters
- other non-Latin characters
- more than 50 characters, including spaces
the transfer may fail and show “Something went wrong”.
What needs to be changed
Update the recipient’s contact name so that it:
- Uses Latin alphabet characters only (A–Z)
- Contains no emojis
- Contains no Cyrillic characters
- Does not exceed 50 characters, including spaces
Where to make the change
You cannot edit the contact inside the ZEN.COM app.
Open your device’s contact list on your phone, edit the recipient’s name there, save the changes, reopen the ZEN.COM app, and then try the transfer again.
Once the contact name meets these requirements, your ZEN Buddies transfer should go through normally.
