Local RON transfer limits depend on the transfer type. Standard TRANSFOND transfers don’t have fixed amount limits, while Express TRANSFOND transfers are limited to 50000 RON per transaction.
Other transaction limits may also apply to your account and affect how much you can send or receive.
Standard RON transfer limits
- There are no limits on incoming or outgoing standard local RON transfers via the TRANSFOND system.
Express RON transfer limits
- The maximum amount for a single Express TRANSFOND transfer is 50000 RON.

If you’re sending a higher amount, for example, a car payment, we may carry out additional security checks. This can take a little longer.
You don’t need to take any extra steps. Large transfers work the same way as smaller ones.
