Question
How does the one-year additional warranty on electronics work?
Answer
When you pay for electronics with your standard ZEN Card, and register your purchased product in the ZEN app, you get an extra 1 year of warranty!
Please note: this article describes the rules of 1 Year of Extended Warranty for standard ZEN Cards. For information about 2 Years of Extended Warranty with ZEN Pro Cards, please click here.
General Rules of 1 Year of Extended Warranty
- You must pay for the entire transaction using the ZEN Card and register the product to our system. As part of this process, you need to provide basic information about the product, including the serial number, which will be required when requesting a refund. The service document must contain the same serial number as the one registered in our system after purchase.
- When registering a product in the ZEN application, you must attach a proof of purchase of the product. This can be a receipt without the buyer's details, a named receipt, a named invoice, as well as a company invoice.
- The Extended Warranty covers electronics with the same protection as the manufacturer's warranty (excluding damages).
- It is valid only for new products, purchased from companies registered in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, or Switzerland (excluding Duty-Free Zones).
- The product must have a manufacturer's warranty of up to 36 months.
- The service covers the reimbursement of repair costs up to the value of the product purchased with the ZEN Card.
- You can register an unlimited number of products under warranty — each product should be registered with a new application, as each piece of product has its own unique serial number.
- The warranty will end if your paid ZEN Plan (Gold, Platinum, Pro, Smart, or Enterprise) is canceled for more than 3 days — after this time, the products will automatically lose the Extended Warranty.
- The warranty is a complementary and free-of-charge benefit connected to paid ZEN plan subscriptions. Please note, that it cannot be purchased or sold separately.
For an individual account, the extended warranty covers:
- Gold plan — products meeting the conditions described above up to the amount of EUR 1500.
- Platinum plan — products meeting the conditions described above up to the amount of EUR 5000.
- Pro plan (purchases made with standard ZEN Card instead of ZEN Pro Card) — products meeting the conditions described above up to the amount of EUR 5000.
For a business account, the extended warranty covers:
- Smart plan — products meeting the conditions described above up to the amount of EUR 1500.
- Enterprise Plan — products meeting the conditions described above up to the amount of EUR 5000.
How it works
You buy a product covered by a basic manufacturer's warranty with a ZEN Card, register the product in the ZEN app, and we extend the warranty for another 12 months. Equipment covered by the ZEN additional warranty offer are, for example:
- Audio and Video Equipment: This category includes televisions, home cinema projectors, home entertainment systems, cameras, video cameras, GPS systems, and mobile telephones. It also covers a wide range of communication and computing items such as desktop PCs, laptops, monitors, photocopiers, fax machines, scanners, game consoles, modems, notebooks, tablet computers, computer software, and other computer accessories not fully assembled by the manufacturer.
- Electrical Household Appliances: This category encompasses washing machines, tumble/washer dryers, dishwashers, cookers, ovens, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, clothes irons, toasters, and electric toothbrushes. It also includes electric gardening tools, which are essential for maintaining outdoor spaces.
If, after the expiration of the manufacturer's warranty, your product breaks, report it to our insurer using the instructions in this article.
