How to transfer money to Ukraine via PrivatMoney

Sending money home or helping someone in Ukraine? You can do it easily with PrivatMoney. Transfers are fast, secure, and usually arrive within minutes, so your support reaches loved ones quickly.

How PrivatMoney transfers work

PrivatMoney is a joint service from PrivatBank and ZEN.COM that lets you send money directly to cards or bank accounts in Ukraine. You can send transfers in Polish zloty (PLN), euros (EUR), or US dollars (USD). The transfer fee is 1% of the sent amount.

If you’re viewing this article on a device with the ZEN.COM app installed, open this link to start a transfer.

Important

For Ukrainian banks other than PrivatBank, PrivatMoney supports only UAH cards and accounts. Even if you send PLN, EUR, or USD, the recipient will receive the money in UAH.
To avoid delays, always enter the recipient’s UAH card number or UAH account (IBAN) for these banks.

How to send money from ZEN.COM via PrivatMoney

  1. Log in to your ZEN.COM app and select “Wallet” from the bottom menu.
  2. Tap the currency you want to send (PLN, EUR, or USD).
  3. Tap “Transfer”, then choose “Card number” or “Account number” (in case of transfer to Ukrainian account number instead of card number).
    • For transfers to card: select “New transfer” and enter the recipient’s card number.
    • For bank account number transfers: select “New transfer” and enter the recipient’s IBAN. Check that PrivatMoney appears as the transfer type.
If you see SEPA as transfer type instead of PrivatMoney, it means the recipient’s bank supports SEPA transfers for EUR. Learn more about SEPA transfers here.
  4. Enter the amount, check the details, and confirm the transfer.

You’ll get a confirmation in the app once the transfer is sent. Most PrivatMoney transfers are credited within about 15 minutes.

My PrivatMoney transfer didn’t arrive

If the recipient doesn’t see the transfer yet, it may have been credited in UAH, even if you sent another currency.

This happens when the transfer is sent to a Ukrainian bank other than PrivatBank (for example, monobank, A-Bank, Sense Bank, Universal Bank). These banks accept PrivatMoney transfers only to UAH cards and UAH accounts.

Ask the recipient to check their UAH card or UAH account for the incoming transfer from ZEN.COM.
