ZEN.COM supports local PLN (Polish zloty) transfers through the ELIXIR system. ELIXIR is the standard network used by Polish banks for sending and receiving PLN within Poland. These transfers are fast and secure, so you can send or receive PLN locally without using international transfers.
Who can use local PLN transfers and Polish account numbers?
Local PLN transfers and Polish IBANs are available to:

Individual clients with:
- Polish citizenship, verified with a Polish ID card or passport, or
- Ukrainian citizenship, verified with a Polish residence card (“Karta Pobytu”).

Business clients with:
- Company registration country set as Poland, and
- Company representatives verified with a Polish ID card or passport.
Important
Polish IBANs provided by ZEN cannot be used for the Polish white list of VAT taxpayers.
ELIXIR transfers to the Polish Tax Office, ZUS (Social Insurance Institution), or for white list registrations are not supported.
If your ZEN account was verified with another document or citizenship not listed above, a Polish IBAN won’t appear in your account. If you meet the above criteria, you can update your account data to enable PLN transfers and a local IBAN.
What is ELIXIR?
ELIXIR is Poland’s national electronic transfer system, used by all major banks. It lets you send and receive PLN between accounts in different banks quickly and securely. It’s most often used for everyday payments such as bills, salaries, or purchases between individuals and companies.
How to send ELIXIR transfer in ZEN.COM
You can send and receive PLN transfers using ELIXIR in your ZEN.COM app:

Express ELIXIR availability
If your Polish IBAN in the ZEN.COM app has “PPABPLPK” as its SWIFT/BIC code:
- Incoming Express ELIXIR transfers are not supported.
- Incoming transfers will be processed as Standard ELIXIR.
- Outgoing Express ELIXIR transfers are still available.
Incoming Express ELIXIR transfers are only available for Polish IBANs with the “BMPBPLPP” SWIFT/BIC code
How long ELIXIR transfers take
When making a PLN transfer, you can choose between Standard and Express ELIXIR options.
Standard ELIXIR transfers:
- Usually arrive within one business day.
- Processed Monday to Friday, excluding Polish public holidays.
Express ELIXIR transfers:
- Usually complete within 5 minutes, including weekends and holidays.
- The daily limit for outgoing Express ELIXIR transfers is the equivalent of 1200 EUR in PLN.

Important
All transfers in ZEN.COM go through automatic security checks required by financial institutions. These checks may occasionally delay the transfer slightly. You can always track your transfer status directly in the ZEN.COM app.
Can I cancel ELIXIR transfer after sending it?
Once you confirm an ELIXIR transfer, it can’t be canceled or reversed by ZEN.COM. If you’d like to cancel the transfer:
- Contact the recipient’s bank to request a refund, or
- If the recipient’s account is closed or invalid, the funds will be refunded automatically.
