Missed Connection can help with eligible costs if your covered flight arrives late and you miss a confirmed onward connection.
Missed Connection is part of Travel Delay Cover, provided by Chubb, a global insurance company, and is available with selected ZEN.COM subscription plans for residents of Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, and Lithuania.
What costs can Missed Connection cover?
You may be able to claim eligible costs for:
- onward travel
- meals and refreshments
- accommodation
The costs need to be related to the missed connection.
When does Missed Connection apply?
Your missed connection may qualify when:
- your covered flight arrives late
- the late arrival causes you to miss a confirmed onward connection
- your journey begins and ends in your country of domicile
- you follow the conditions of your travel agent, tour operator, and transport provider
- you allow enough time to make your journey
- the costs cannot be recovered from an airline, hotel, tour operator, or another provider
- any additional travel or accommodation is of a similar standard to what you originally planned
Connections booked on separate tickets are not covered.
When does Missed Connection not apply?
Missed Connection does not cover every missed connection.
Examples include:
- connections booked on separate tickets
- costs that can be recovered from an airline, hotel, tour operator, or another provider
- a journey that does not begin and end in your country of domicile
- additional travel or accommodation above the standard originally planned for your trip
- situations where you did not allow enough time to make your journey
- travel against the advice or restrictions of the relevant national or local authorities
Full conditions, limits, and exclusions are available in the Travel and Lifestyle Benefits Terms.
What should I keep if I want to make a claim?
Keep:
- your travel booking and itinerary
- written confirmation showing that your covered flight arrived late
- proof that the late arrival caused you to miss your confirmed onward connection
- receipts and booking documents for eligible onward travel, meals, refreshments, and accommodation
