The person who applies on behalf of your company must be authorised to act for it. Here's how to show this.
Do you need to send a document?
Not if the person is listed in the company registry as a director or representative. If they aren't, upload one of the documents below.
What must a power of attorney show?
- Who grants it
- Who receives it
- The scope of authority
- The date
The power of attorney must be signed by the people authorised to represent your company, as shown in the registry.
What if the registry hasn't been updated yet?
Upload a board or shareholder resolution appointing the person.
What if two or more people must act together?
If your company can only be represented by two or more people acting together, each of them must either:
- Verify their identity, or
- Authorise the applicant in a power of attorney
What if the document was issued in another country?
A power of attorney or resolution issued in another country may need to be notarised and apostilled or legalised. The task tells you when this applies. Learn more in Which rules apply to every document you upload?
