If something feels off, or you just want a quick safety pause, you can temporarily lock your ZEN Card. This gives you instant control and helps protect your money until you are ready to use the card again.
When locking your card can be useful
Temporarily locking a card is helpful in everyday situations, for example:
- You cannot find your card and want to be safe while you look for it
- You notice a transaction you want to double-check before spending more
- You are travelling and want to limit card use for a short time
- You simply do not need the card right now but may want to use it later
Locking is reversible, so you stay in control without committing to removing the card.
How to temporarily lock your ZEN Card in the mobile app
To lock your card in the ZEN.COM app, follow these steps:
- Log in to your ZEN.COM app and select “Cards” from the bottom menu.
- Choose the card and tap "Lock" below it.
That’s it. All card transactions on the selected card will be automatically rejected until you unlock it.
How to temporarily lock your ZEN Card in the ZEN Web Portal
To lock your card in the ZEN Web Portal, follow these steps:
- Log in to the ZEN Web Portal and select "Cards" on the left.
- Select the card you want to lock.
- Select "More" below the card, then choose "Block" below the card.
That’s it. All card transactions on the selected card will be automatically rejected until you unlock it.
What happens while your card is locked
- The card stays locked until you tap "Unlock" in the app or Web Portal again
- If the card is added to Apple Pay or Google Pay, it will be suspended there as well
- No card payments or withdrawals can be made during this time
This gives you a calm pause without affecting your account or other cards.
