How does 1 year of ZEN Extended Warranty work?

Updated:

When you pay for electronics with your standard ZEN Card and register the product in the ZEN.COM app, you get an extra 1 year of warranty on top of the manufacturer’s warranty. It’s a simple way to extend your protection without any extra cost.

Tip

This article explains the rules for the 1 Year of Extended Warranty for standard ZEN Cards.
If you’re looking for 2 Years of Extended Warranty with ZEN Pro Cards, read this guide.

What you need to qualify

To activate your 1-year Extended Warranty, make sure that:

  • You have one of the paid ZEN Plans active during the whole Extended Warranty period.
  • You pay for the entire purchase using your standard ZEN Card, without intermediaries, installment payments, or BNPL services.
  • You register the product in the ZEN.COM app within 90 days after buying it. When you register the product, you need to:
    • take a clear photo after you receive and open the packaging
    • upload a proof of purchase, such as: receipt (with or without buyer details), named invoice, company invoice
    • enter the correct serial number. The serial number on the service document later used for repair must match the one you registered in the app.

Registration needs to be done for each item separately, because every item has its own unique serial number.

What the Extended Warranty covers

The 1-year Extended Warranty:

  • Extends the original manufacturer’s warranty by 12 months.
  • Covers new products only.
  • Applies to items purchased from companies registered in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Switzerland. Duty-free zones are excluded.
  • Applies only if the manufacturer’s warranty lasts up to 36 months.
  • Refunds repair costs up to the value of the product originally purchased with your ZEN Card.

Coverage limits by plan

Your Extended Warranty cost limit depends on your active ZEN Plan.

For individual accounts

  • Gold plan: up to €1500
  • Platinum plan: up to €5000
  • Pro plan (when purchases are made with a standard ZEN Card instead of a ZEN PRO Card): up to €5000

For business accounts

  • Smart plan: up to €1500
  • Enterprise plan: up to €5000

When the Extended Warranty ends

The Extended Warranty is a free extra benefit linked to your paid ZEN Plan. It will automatically end if your paid plan (Gold, Platinum, Pro, Smart, or Enterprise) is canceled for more than 3 days. After this period, all registered products lose Extended Warranty protection.

This benefit cannot be purchased separately and can’t be sold or transferred.

What happens after the manufacturer’s warranty expires

If your product breaks after the manufacturer’s warranty ends:

  1. Have the repair done in an authorized service center.
  2. Follow the instructions described in this article to submit a request for reimbursement of repair costs.
